Dr. Chapin is the husband of a teacher, father of a teacher, father-in-law of a teacher, brother of a teacher and the son of a librarian.

Family:   Married for 31 years to Laurie (3^rd grade teacher in Okemos), Andrew (son) Health, Physical Education and Psychology Teacher and Coach at Mason High School, Cari (daughter) is master's degree student at Michigan State University in the school of music.  Residence is in East Lansing, Michigan.

Professional:   Superintendent of Schools in the East Lansing Public Schools.  Previously, Superintendent of Schools in the Bullock Creek Schools (Midland County), Assistant Superintendent in Bullock Creek, Elementary Principal in the Midland Public Schools, Adjunct Professor at Saginaw Valley State University, Teacher and Coach.
